Mozart Birthday Concert

The annual Mozart concert offers another unmissable selection of works, ending with the most irrepressibly joyous of his early symphonies.

Rhea Jo (oboe)
Nigel Wilkinson (conductor)

Andante in C for flute, K.315
Piano Concerto No.15 in B flat, K.450
Oboe Concerto in C, K.314
Symphony No.29 in A, K.201

Nominated as one of the BBC Music Magazine’s Rising Stars of 2024, Xiaowen Shang has recently appeared at the BBC Proms and the Wigmore Hall, and plays a sparkling piano concerto with a memorable hunting-style finale.

Rhea Jo, former principal with the National Youth Orchestra and now a student at the Royal College of Music, performs the Oboe Concerto, and flautist Julia Bentley-Dawkes opens the programme with the elegant Andante in C.
